WHY FAST?

  • • It Humbles us in the sight of God.

  • • It brings revelation by the Holy Spirit of a person’s true spiritual condition.

  • • It is a crucial means for personal revival, allowing the Holy Spirit to work within us in a powerful way.

  • • It helps us better understand the Word of God.

  • • It transforms prayer into a richer and more powerful experience.

  • • It can restore the loss of one’s first love for our Lord.

WE WILL APPROACH OUR FAST BASED UPON THESE SEVEN REQUESTS OR POSTURES:

  • 1. That God would bless the ministry and influence of Victory Life Church

  • 2. That God would give us wisdom

  • 3. That we would express grief over the brokenness of our world

  • 4. That we would seek deliverance and protection from the evil one

  • 5. That we would come to the Lord in repentance

  • 6. That God would give us victory

  • 7. That God would create in us a deeper hunger for His Word and for His presence

HOW SHOULD I FAST?

  • • Liquid and juice fast – no food at all

  • • Daniel Fast – Fruit, vegetables (vegan). Daniel 1:8-17

  • • Daniel Plan – less restrictive; include vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains;

  • • Media Fast – fast from TV, secular music, social media, etc.
